Why I have chosen Time Lapse
I have chosen to use time lapse because i think the way that it shows time passing is much more powerful and effective compared to moving image. For me the best part of a time lapse animation is a gradual changes in light. Also i think clouds look really aesthetically pleasing in time lapse because if you are to watch clouds normally the movement is minimal where as in time lapse the movement is very quick and it flows. I have chosen to do a cigarette and a candle because i am able to link meaning to them (fires) also i think the comparison of the speed at which a cigarette diminishes compared to a candle will be powerful and could prove how quick a fire could start.
Inspiration
The videos that inspired my use of time-lapse are mainly time-lapses of cityscapes. I think aesthetically the time-lapse looks better that a moving video due to the fact that the stills camera seems to react better to light and the colours are more vivid (depending on the resolution of the stills and video cameras).

Animation
I got my idea after studying different time-lapse videos and i thought that time-lapse of candles work well, after that i thought of a fact that I could link to my animation, i chose the cause of house fires fact due to the fact i wanted to make my animation serious and give the audience something to think about, after id come up with the original idea I decided to add a cigarette to the animation also.
